Stickers - Petite Mort I

Le choix du titre fait référence à l'expression française « La petite mort » paru au XVIe siècle , désignant à l’origine un étourdissement ou des frissons nerveux et qui fut par la suite réutilisé pour parlé de l'orgasme.

Cet autocollant fait suite à une petite série d’œuvres illustrées de féminités fantasmagoriques, abordant le plaisir, le sacré, la vie et la mort... Dans cette illustration, la position des mains peuvent rappeler un des signes du féminisme ; En joignant les pouces entre eux ainsi que les index et les majeurs, ils symbolisent le vagin. La représentation du clitoris renforce le sujet véhiculé et posé de cette façon sur le crâne, émet une impression religieuse comme on peut faire le signe de la croix sur le front pour les catholiques ou le Blindi, le point rouge chez les indouistes.

The choice of title refers to the french expression « La petite mort », which appeared in the 16th century, originally referring to dizziness or nervous shivering, and was later reused to refer to orgasm.

This sticker follows on from a small series of illustrated works of phantasmagorical femininity, dealing with pleasure, the sacred, life and death... In this illustration, the position of the hands may recall one of the signs of feminism: by joining the thumbs together, as well as the index and middle fingers, they symbolize the vagina. The representation of the clitoris reinforces the theme conveyed and, placed in this way on the skull, gives off a religious impression, just as one might make the sign of the cross on the forehead for Catholics, or the Blindi, the red dot, for Hinduists.
